Village Voice

When the Village Voice went digital it forever changed the look and feel of NYCs largest free weekly, adding more graphics, illustrations, and vibrant color palettes. My Job was to support integrating the art department with digital and traditional processes, shepherding the iconic photography from hand-processing, contact sheets and drum scanning through design and layout. As one of the last interns to work under legendary editor Fred McDarrah, I learned how to translate a complex story into a single image.
