Microsoft needed to defend its position as an industry leader of B2B cloud services from newcomers such as Google Cloud and AWS. The real challenge was that IT professionals don’t like being sold to. So instead we created an IT newsroom and forum where industry leaders could debate about hyper-processors and diss each other’s stacks.
